Today one of the horses I'm responsible for, died. His name was 'Shadow' (He was able to walk without making a sound with his hooves) and he was a beautiful and young stallion, full of joy and power.
During the castration he stopped breathing and four doctors tried to rescue him and after 20 minutes his heart stopped beating ... I'll never forget this moment when the doctor said, that he'll never wake up again.
But there are also some happy moments: One of our mares will born a foal next spring. And Shadow will be the father of this foal ... so maybe it's allowed to be said that he didn't die completely.
